Does this man look familiar?  He should, he's dead writer Hunter S. Thompson, and he is hanging out at Flying Dog Brewery in Denver, Colorado.  Oh, did I mention that he's dead?  Probably not.

Everyone jokes about people being a bit slow in the South.  YouTube offers proof of this.  One can only hope that this girl marries rich. 

Things to do in Denver when you're Jay

Tonight, I spent the evening at Invesco Field at Mile High -  home of the Denver Broncos.  I was able to walk on the field, see the visitors locker room drink Fat Tire throughout the suites and club level and treat the place like it was my own.  New stadiums built without a roof are very nice.  The grass was perfect and real - much different than Ford Field.

Live from Red Rocks: The Jay

Here is a shot that I took from my cell phone.  I hadn't been very happy with the resolution from my Motorola Q.  However, I found the camera settings and was able to bump up the quality considerably.  It's not at the level of my Canon SD400, but it's solid for a cell phone.

This was taken during an outing to Red Rocks last night.  Quite an amazing place.  I would have loved to have heard the Grateful Dead or Phish perform there. 

Hello, friend

Yesterday, I flew into Denver, CO for a conference.  I took a few hours to walk around the city.  I found that this city has mountains, heat, homeless people and beer.  I took a photo of one of those things - my friend beer.  This was taken at a local tap house near Coors Field. 

Go Lions

Tonight, that crazy football team, the Detroit Lions, play another meaningless pre-season game.  One can only hope that the team comes away with no serious injuries.  I hope that this man, Calvin Johnson, will succeed where Charles Rogers and Mike Williams have failed in recent years.  With Williams in Oakland and Rogers out of the league, Roy Williams, Mike Furrey and Johnson may be the "Fearsome Threesome" that Lions GM Matt Millen has been trying to assemble.

Halo 3 - It's Coming

I cannot wait for this new game to hit the store shelves.  Obs, G, Saylor and the rest will all suffer at the hands of my super energy sword attack.  Just writing that sentence makes me think that it's amazing I have a wife and don't live in my Mom's basement.
