Well, I'm watching this flick. So far, it sucks. Well, it doesn't suck, but it's close to sucking. They're in Amsterdam, and no one has gotten high as a flippin' kite, or went to see naked ladies.

Did like the cameo by Topher Grace, trashed place and all.

Go Lions

Seems as if NFL writers have a rule that they cannot mention the Lions without discussing their feelings on how Joey is a below-average QB. Well, this year, I fully expect Joey to be last year's "road record". All off-season in 2004, we heard "Oh the Lions suck as they can't win on the road".

Well, we marched into the spaceship (Soldier Field) and made Rex Grossman our little bitch. Controversy, no more. When Joey outduels Brett at Ford Field on September 11th, it will go a long way to silence these fools.

With a mess of offensive talent, Joey will certainly play well. He's shown that he can do it, as he did when Rogers was healthy at the start of 2003 and again when Roy was healthy last season. With a legit back behind him in Kevin Jones, the defense won't be able to soley focus on Joey.

Offensive Line and Safety still seem like they could be points of concern. Sure would be nice if Dum-Dum Millen could land Ty Lay to play safety.

Why is stupid Drummond holding out?  Find Mel Gray and put him back there.

Fantastic Four Movie

   

    

Went to the 11:05 AM showing of Fantastic Four this morning. While I knew that it wasn't going to be as good as Spider Man or The X-Men, I was hoping that it wouldn't suck donkey balls like The Hulk did.

 

It didn't suck donkey balls.  It was worth my $6.50, and it got me out of the house for a few hours, which didn't suck. 

 

The effects were good, and the charcter development was somewhat in-line with the comic book. I was expecting a bit more action. Thought that the guy who played Dr. Doom was decent, and saw that they took a twist with the Alicia character, which was cool.

 

The first scene where they test their new-found powers out on the bridge was pretty solid.  Nice work with the fire truck.

 

Off to get a Sam Adams.

My first post

Thought that it is about time to further denigrate the Internet by posting my mindless ramblings.  So, after trying one other site that wanted to charge for me for hosting my senseless posts, I found Blogger.  They're free, and I like free.  Free beer, free tacos, free Super Bowl tickets - those are things that sound better with "free" in front of it.
